Shade cloth is best chosen based on purpose: 90% is high coverage, typically used for pergolas, privacy screens and carports; 70% is medium coverage designed to protect pets, plants and gardens & 30/50% for gardens where plants still need light and airflow.
You can install our shade cloth in a number of different techniques depending on your chosen application. You can use shade fix plates, mini nail plates, lace with rope/cord, snap-on wire clips or simple cable ties. Secure tightly to prevent sagging and withstand wind and weather conditions.

Our regular shade cloth (available in 30/50/70/90%) is not made from waterproof material, however we do have a product similar with a unique layer of waterproofing membrane underneath to shield areas from rain showers. As long as fabric is installed correctly and is on at least a 20deg slope, this will ensure water can escape.
Our shade cloth is prepared by knitting a strong synthetic material (HDPE – high-density polyethylene) into a fabric. Varying in densities/percentages to control and reduce UV rays, heat & sunlight in your chosen space/area.
As the name suggests, our Eco Shade Cloth is made from 100% natural material which is called hessian/jute (comes from a plant), all our other shade cloth is made from plastic. Eco Shade is biodegradable and won’t leave any plastics in the eco system once it starts to break down.
