Unfortunately, we don’t have a double screen door and you cannot join the doors together. The only way around this is if you placed a piece of timber in the middle that you could drill into for the door hinges to lock onto – but once the doors are opened fully, you will have the timber showing in the middle.
Unfortunately the screen will always be on the inside as this is how the door is designed to be installed.
This is an easy fix, it can easily come out of alignment during transport. Please contact our customer service team and they will guide you over the phone or alternatively they will send through some instructions for you to follow.
Our barrier screen doors are universal, meaning they can be installed on either side of the doorway, this would just depend on the way the tongue is facing (you may need to adjust it so the door handle is operating the correct way). Our security doors come in both the metric & imperial sizing (left hand hinge) but only come in the metric sizing for the right hand hinge.
Measuring from the bottom of the door, the very bottom of the handle sits at 102.5cm.
Measuring from the bottom of the door, the very bottom of the handle sits at 98.9cm.
UP is to activate the lock, DOWN is to deactivate the lock. You need to lift the handle up as your locking and when unlocking lift it down. The 3 point locking system will lock/unlock.
In relation to the barrier screen door, the handle depth is approx 5.3cm – for the security door, the handle depth is approx 5.5cm.
Our barrier screen doors are manufactured with a diamond style mesh opening, which is approximately 3.9mm wide and 3mm high.
Our security screen doors are manufactured with a diamond style mesh opening, which is approximately 2.5mm wide and high.
Regular cleaning helps prolong its life. Use a soft bristled brush or cloth with mild soapy water to gently scrub the frame and mesh, then rinse with clean water. Avoid harsh chemicals or high-pressure spraying, as this can damage the mesh or frame seals. Lubricate hinges occasionally with a silicone-based lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
