This product is designed to stabilise slopes. This should go on top of soil and then you can create holes (if wanted) and plant.

Pillar’s Geo Textile is made from PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). This is a type of thick non-toxic plastic which is also used in food/beverage packaging.

We do recommend that you install this product vertically. You could install horizontally however, you would need to ensure the row on top is overlapping the bottom layer otherwise water could seep in.

With our Geo Textile, we have a 5 year warranty – the matting is made from quality PET (thick, non-toxic plastic) and should last longer than its warranty period if the instructions are followed accordingly.

Our Grafting Tape is made from biodegradable, compostable material. It is a stretchy, self adhesive that is used to secure plant grafts, protect healing tissue and ensure successful plant propagation. For example: if you had a lemon tree, you can tie limes onto it, to have 2 types of fruit growing at one time.

Hessian is made from natural plants, it is strong and will last for years. Some people actually use it to protect plants in transport.

Our Mulch Mat will last approx 12-24 months as long as it is suitably covered with toppings such as stones/pebbles, bark, or gravel and not exposed to the direct sunlight. The length can vary based on conditions, so it could definitely last longer than 24 months if cared for properly.

The Pillar Mulch Mat is good for growing plants and vegetables as it will retain moisture while still allowing airflow. In relation to the GSM/thickness of the Mulch Mat, it has a material of 80GSM.

Unfortunately not, you must create an airpocket between the hessian and the plant – you can do this by using either hoops or stakes. Placing the product directly onto the plant, will restrict air circulation, which is essential for healthy plant growth – it will also not allow the plant to regulate its temperature, which in return can cause damage.

The Pillar Thermal Cover is used to protect plants from frost and harsh sun. The product will still allow air flow, sunlight and moisture to pass through to the plant all while protecting damage from frost and harsh sun.

We would recommend that you remove the Thermal Cover in warmer months – due to the harsh sun, which can deteriorate the product much faster than normal. During the colder months, it would be okay to leave on the plants.
