Window Film

What are the benefits of window film?

Window film is a great permanent or temporary solution to a range of problems you may be experiencing in your home, office or car.

Our range of window film offers benefits for privacy, glare reduction, reduced energy costs, and self-tinting. We also offer creative solutions with whiteboard window tint film and decorative solutions.

Is all window film permanent?

No. While most window film is designed as a permanent solution to your privacy, glare or security problems, our range of window film also offers a temporary solution.

In addition, any of our adhesive-free films can be easily removed and reused.

Even our permanent options can be removed, though they may leave some adhesive residue that can be removed easily with an adhesive cleaner (We recommend de-solv-it from Bunnings).

How can window film reduce the effects of UV rays in my home?

Window film can significantly reduce the effects of UV radiation in your home or office space. Depending on the window film chosen, it blocks between 90 – 99% of UV rays coming into your home. This results from certain dyes, ceramics and metals within the film that acts as a barrier to the sun’s rays and prevents them from coming into the home.

The other benefit is it reduces the amount of heat entering your home or office, keeping it cooler in summer and warmer in winter by trapping the heat already inside.

Is window film easy to apply?

Our window film range is designed for easy at-home installation with no professional help required. Pillar Products offer DIY solutions to daily household upgrades and renovations, and our range of window film is no exception.

To make the process easier, we also offer a range of accessories, including; squeegees and applicator solution, to help you achieve the perfect finish. To view the range, click here.

How can window film prevent my furniture from fading?

Window film filters out over 90% of harsh UV rays, which are primarily responsible for fading on furniture within your home. Through this process, fading is less likely to occur with appropriate installation.

Is window film installed on the interior or exterior?

Our window film is always installed on the inside of the glass. While the film will stick to the outside of the glass, harsh weather conditions can vastly reduce your window film’s lifespan.
